Both are connected to an 8-speed automatic transmission, and the first engine comes with a rear-wheel drive system, while the second comes with rear-wheel drive as standard on the Half Full trim, and with all-wheel drive as standard on the Full model.

Maserati Quattroporte Comparison in Trims and Models
The Maserati Quattroporte's distinctions begin on the outside, with 19-inch or 20-inch wheel rims as standard. As we indicated while discussing the engine, the powertrain system also differs.
The seat upholstery comes in different types of leather, carbon fiber trim is standard on some trims, as is the cooling of the front seats, other than the heating of the front and rear seats standard on all models.
